1- Subject
These General Terms and Sale Conditions define the terms and conditions applicable to the purchase of travel services offered by Madagascar Island. Any order placed on the website implies full acceptance of these General Terms and sale conditions.
2-Rates
Prices are provided for information purposes only. They correspond to a base price, subject to change depending on the season, the number of participants in the trip, exchange rates, availability and other factors beyond our control. The prices to be taken into account are those stated on your final quote and are valid for two months from the date of issue. Unless otherwise stated, this will be indicated on the quote.
3-Request for quotation
All requests for quotation on website must be made to our team via the Quote request or Contact section.
Please be as specific as possible and give us details of your requirements when requesting a quote. This will enable us to offer you a tour tailored to your idea of your trip to Madagascar and your budget.
Therefore, we welcome any information regarding your international flight schedules, transfer requests, accommodation or preferred type of accommodation, or any other services you may require.
4 –Confirmation of your trip to Madagascar
To be confirmed, your booking must be accompanied by a deposit of 40% of the total cost of the services reserved. The balance is due 30 days before your arrival date. For bookings made less than 30 days before your departure date, the reservation will only be confirmed after full payment for the services reserved.
5 –Payment
To ensure the security of your payment, we only accept bank transfers: a copy of the SWIFT code must be sent to us to confirm the transfer. Confirmation of your booking will be sent to you as soon as we receive the transfer.
6 – In the event of cancellation of your trip to Madagascar
If you have to cancel your trip to Madagascar, the following cancellation conditions apply and the following amounts will be retained:
- More than 60 days before the departure date: 35% of the total price of the trip, including VAT
- Between 60 and 31 days before the departure date: 40% of the total price of the trip, including VAT
- 30 to 16 days before departure: 60% of the total price of the trip, including VAT
- Less than 16 days before departure: 100% except in the case of hospitalisation, 75% of the total price of the trip, including VAT
Please note that our optional travel insurance covers these potential cancellation fees.
7 –Flights to Madagascar
As a local travel agency, we are not authorised to sell international flights. You will therefore need to book this part of your trip to Madagascar yourself. As such, no compensation can be claimed in the event of delay or cancellation of your international flights.
8 –Liability
In the event of losses, accidents, illnesses or changes to the programme due to weather conditions or any other circumstances beyond its control, Madagascar Island shall not be held liable.
Any additional costs incurred due to flight delays or cancellations shall be borne by you.
9 –Complaints
Your claim must be sent by any means that provides proof of receipt, as soon as possible after your return from your trip, and with all supporting documents.
10 – Travel confirmation
- Confirmation of your trip must be sent to us by e-mail and accompanied by a deposit of 40% of the estimated invoice amount, excluding flights.
- If you book domestic flights through our agency, we will only be able to issue them after receiving the full price of the tickets. The option dates and availability provided by the airline are only valid for 24 hours.
- Once we receive the deposit, we will send you confirmation. Full payment must be received 30 days before departure.
- For last-minute bookings (less than 30 days before departure), 100% payment is due at the time of booking.
- You can pay by bank transfer.
- For last-minute services or requests during the trip, you can pay at the agency.
